F.A.Q.

I get Questions that are frequently asked during classes or from the viewers.
Here are the answers to the most common ones:

What is an E-Coupon? an E-Coupon is a coupon that is loaded on to your Store card. Smith's/Kroger  is called a Fresh Values card.  You just need to register your cards bar code then click on the coupons that you want to load then activate or load them. You can go to 3 website and load coupons onto your card. These website are: Shortcuts.com, Cellfire.com, smithsfoodanddrug.com & PGesaver.com It usually takes about 24 hours for them to be loaded. All you have to do is purchase items indicated on the coupon loaded hand the cashier your store card and it comes off automatically. The cool thing about E-Coupons is that you can use a paper coupon (printed, newspaper, etc.) with the loadable. This is called stacking. This gets you twice the savings and great deals.

Can I use more than one coupon per item purchased? You can not use 2 manufacturer coupons for one item. The way you can know if you are using the coupon correctly is to read it carefully. If the coupon says Save $1.00 on your beef purchase when you buy 2 Old El Paso products, you can't use a coupon on the Old El Paso product in addition to the $1.00 off your beef purchase coupon. It is requiring you to purchase Old El Paso to get the money off your beef purchase, so therefore you can not use another coupon.
You can use a store coupon with a manufacturers coupon. The reason you can is the store is giving you that money off and the manufacturer is giving you the money off. A store coupon will usually say store coupon on it. Target has printable store coupons and occasionally we will get Target store coupons in the newspaper. You can combine a manufacturer coupon with these to get a better savings. The only time you can use 2 manufacturers coupons is if one is and E-Coupon and one is a paper coupon. This is the only time.

What is a Catalina Coupon? It's a coupon that prints out at the register. There are four different kinds of coupons that will print at the register. (1.) An ad, its not a coupon just and advertisement for an upcoming Catalina coupon. (2.) Manufacturer coupon: this is a coupon that for a specific amount off a named product. These coupons can not be combined with another manufacturer coupon. (3.) Money off your next transaction: these coupons are triggered by the computer to print because you have purchase an specific number of item. For example: I purchased 5 packages of Cool Whip and got a $3.00 Catalina that printed out to use on my next transaction. It's like getting money back to use on your next transaction. You can this kind of Catalina with another manufacturer coupon. (4.) A Code to enter in online for buying a specific number of items. These are rare and usually are in the add and specific details are given on what can be purchased to get these to print.

What does (SS 6/6-34) mean? This is a code I put after a coupon on the website to tell you when the coupon was received, what insert it came in and what page it can be found on.

What are the abbreviations?

OYNSO: Off Your Next Shopping Order
RR: Register Reward
SCR: Single Check Rebate
TIA: Thanks in advance
MIR: Mail in Rebate

Do you have to shop and a ton of stores? I pick 3 stores to hit each week. Sometimes I only shop at one. It all depends on what stores have the best deals. You could just hit WalMart and price match some of your items. You just have to keep in mind that some items you just can't price match. Sometimes I price match and there's nothing wrong.

I Don't buy the items that you get coupons for? This is a common question. You have to keep in mind that brand isn't important. Most people use deodorant, soap - hand/body, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cleaners, hair care, Laundry soap, dish soap, dish washer soap. All of these items we get coupons for. Now you say I don't buy the brands that you get coupons for. Ask yourself would I be willing to try a different brand if I could get it for Free or close to FREE. If so then you would use the coupons we get. We get coupons for a lot of different brands. Most likely you will use one of those brands.

How much time do you spend? I spend around 45 minutes to 1 hour clipping my coupons. Then I just go to Savvyshopperdeals and print my shopping list. At the stores usually about 20 - 60 minutes. 60 minutes because some stores like WinCo do not have sales ads so I can't plan much before I go. I figured it out and with the time I spend and the money I save I make 25 dollars an hour shopping with coupons.
